Replusive

Inspired by 'Two Figures on Beam' by Magdalena Abakanowicz, 1992

As the glistening snow, brighter than the white that his porcelain skin had been descends from the sky above I turn to the heavens and pray for one last hug, one last caress, and one last moment. The sun shines through my complex inner soul while the heart wrenching snow ambushes the world, stealing my sanity with every frigid dive it takes towards me. My lips are stained pearly pink, the color of my frilly sweater that I wore the day you revealed your hidden soul to me. My over sized snow boots pack the snow down to the frozen ground which will soon be completely hidden beneath the depth of the sinister snow. Although the blizzard like weather blinds my golden eyes I feel as if I'm synced with a solid gold compass leading to you. I march along the slops and paths with my eyes nearly closed. The mystifying pine trees tower over me with a mysterious aura. In the distance I see a light descending from heaven shining down to the frigid ground; I run with all my might to reach it. As try to focus on the brilliant pearly pink rose being showcased in the glimpse of heavenly light my head raises up to see the land beyond me. My heart drops as my eyes set sight upon two solemn bodies, headless and wrapped in repulsive burlap cloth.

On a Lonely Night You Will See You're Everything to Me

a piece based on the the painting 'Starry Night' by Vincent Van Gogh

I ran like the wind, chasing my calling yet running from my fears. The dark blue June sky dropped over me like a red curtain descending after a breathtaking show. I carelessly wondered along the sides of apartment walls and through the fresh mowed grass just to get to you. The night was calm, challenging me with every step I took. I stumbled upon a narrow inclined gravel path leading to a horizontally stretched hill which rolled down to the apartments like the peaceful deep blue sea. I climbed and climbed in search of you, in search of warmth, in search of freedom. As I reached the top I saw you, your hair gleaming in the brilliant moon light. You floated my way until we reached a distance where we could speak. My heart fluttered like a humming birds wings while I sat down on the damp grass. I looked up at the bright stars that accentuated the almost black sky and let a warm smile escape from my lips. Not a care in this world, not a sound to be heard, not a fear in my mind.
